Memories Untold

3) b) What once has been is now gone buried in
The covers of the past on a bed of time.
Yet what has been is not in vein, nor shines
Dimly in the light of what is to come;
For simmering brightness that shone fine sparks
Of memories bitter sweet do not tone
The present unless it meets with sorrow.
Therefore, love what has been, tomorrow marks
A new world of sights to behold, borrowed
From the present hours: wherein are told
By the light of sparks from smithies hammer,
That mind of clay, new memories untold.
Yet by the flame of light we once did share,
Shall I remember your sight. Oh so fair...

The Hunter's Game

13) c) Chase him down, do not grieve! Do not chase
So easily as to allow reprieve
For his weary soul, but like a hunter
Seek him out until you have found him. Face
Your fears lest you be overcome by them;
For should it go free it shall marshal ten
Thousand more like it to attack. Offense
Then is your best chance to defeat his hide,
Do not allow him to grow in self pride
So that he may in his arrogance bide
What time he has in peace and quiet;
For what you give him is given in fear.
So like a falcon soaring high in clear
Winds may you overtake your tears of woe.

Welcoming Sights

12) c) As I walk down the isle I smile.
For the secret that I bear tiles my mind
With colorful patters that are unique.
Why do you look into my eyes to find
The meaning of my grin? Or do you seek
The reflection of your form that you stare
Unceasingly into my soul? Vat's of
Water hide behind my eyes; do you care
That your golden curls do smart with their light,
Make chores of mine eyes and turn them to flight?
To look upon you unseeing was bliss,
But shook me up and down as birds missing
The mark of the air when the wind collides;
My look unseen caught in a trap: surprise!

Nature and Man

11) c) Like a sapling thinks on the tallest of trees
Are children that blink at celebrities.
But words of ink hope for a shot in film,
Just like boys for girls all hot for a swim.
Thoughts in the stars await cyclones of words,
Like young men looking to be seen and heard.
Feelings await the gate of love's passion,
As women relate to another fashion.
A minnow swims in the ocean and faints,
So do students lose their swaggering gaits.
But trees that are fallen give ground new life,
Akin to mom's and dads, they have much strife.
Yet it is the sea that once running stream
Is like a man, once a boy, that had dreams.

Dreams Ungoverned

10) c) For all of our lives we've been shorne to fit
The widest of lies by which we've been hit;
For no moisture that was told it could be
A storm did so without holding a breeze!
When child hears that he may be a man
He insists that fears, uncertainty, can
Only deter him in his path; alight
With such simmering rays, fighting for the
Greatest of hopes, singing within for joy,
A child then stumbles and falls. Employed by
Feigned love mumbled, tall tales, mere ploys and sighs
From ungoverned counsels, A whales tale
Made real by lights of imagination,
Children fall, tight lipped, mention curses.

Shade of Sooth

9) c) Truth thrice removed! Some truth is there in this,
That art, with but the shade of soothsaying,
Imparts upon minds but a trace, a hiss
Of the fullness spoken, as is found in voices
That but paint the mind. Yet would I not by
Such a saintly sign as your picture, hoist
My sails, travel over raging seas, to
Have a single look on thy love set frame?
For words alone cannot achieve what I
Have felt in the bosom of my hearts sigh!
Although but a trace of you may be found
Herein this picture, this imitation
Of perfection, Rose among mere flowers,
It is enough that I should look upon;
For what I see shall bring me soon. Anon!

Moonlit Hands

8) c) Consider the letters before your eyes,
Think what they might mean before you despise
The hidden meaning underneath the strange
Lintel of their frame. For few here understand
The letters I've writ by such moonlit hands
That are yours, they sit by the sunlight and
Would read what was written at twilight; strands
Of meaning will they glean, but never full
Knowledge, till their minds as they might. The toll
Is to heavy and the strain to hard, for
Hidden meaning is pain; but bards, doors of
Light they know, and they have the keys to show.
So now look at me, seek out the hidden
Meanings found out by moon's shimmering rays.
