Hope Challenged

Uncertainty if you must know is like
Water that is drunk from dark dykes that
Have lay sallow in the mud for a time;
Causing you to question even rhymes fat
With positive outlook. Yet hope is such,
That you never expect of others. Much
Lies within the hidden realm of this word
That have yet to be seen, yet to be heard.
But if you should place your hand in mine then
We should truly transcend all of time; fens
Fallow only lie such in their own day,
So through time we shall find another way.
Yet even before we begin travel
Our plans begin to fall and unravel.
